WHAT IS

MICROBLADING

Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates fine hairlike strokes to fill in sparse or thinning brows. When done with artistry and excellence, it creates a perfect 3D brow, that looks natural and lasts 1-3 years. No more drawing in brows every day!

A small handheld tool made up of several tiny needles is used to add permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hairstroke is created by hand producing a thin, natural looking line that blends in with existing eyebrow hair, whereas, with eyebrow tattoos it is still done with a machine and needle often producing thicker, less natural lines that tend to expand over time. It is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape the appearance of the eyebrows. Microblading deposits pigment into upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper into the dermis.

MY APPOINTMENT

WHAT TO EXPECT

A typical microblading appointment lasts 2 to 3 hours. A touch up appointment lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the amount of work that needs touching up.

A standard appointment will have the following steps:

Client Profile

First the microblading artist will assess the client’s lifestyle and taste. Do you want something bold or natural? Do you wear makeup everyday or just special occasions? What face shape do you have? This  interview will help the artist create the best brows for you, the client.

Brow Mapping

Next the artist will measure and draw the eyebrows directly on your face with an eyebrow pencil. This will be the artist’s guide for the microblading procedure. This also allows the client to see the final shape before any permanent work is performed.

Microblading

Now the artist begins microblading, according to the drawing they’ve agreed upon with the client.

Removal of Excess Pigment

Once the microblading is finished, there is lots of extra ink remaining on the client’s face. The artist wipes it away to reveal your new eyebrows! Except for some redness, the client will be ready to go back out in public, no problem.

Before & After Photography

All microblading artists photograph their work to have a record of their own art! You'll most likely see the photos on our site and our Instagram, X, Facebook & Youtube channels.

Book Follow Up Appointment

Microblading requires a second touch-up appointment, because all client’s skin is different and receives the ink differently. It's impossible to accurately predict how a pigment will be affected by a client’s undertones.

After 4 weeks, the you will come in for your Perfecting Session (touch-up). This appointment can last as little as 30 minutes or as long as two hours, depending on the amount of work needed.

The procedure involves the microblading artist assessing your healed brows and making necessary adjustments to achieve an even, consistent and natural-looking brow shape. The artist will examine the condition of the skin, pigment retention, and fading areas to determine where more strokes are needed. Also in this appointment, the artist will “warm up” or “cool down” the colors, to get it to match perfectly.

HEALING PROCESS

WHAT TO EXPECT

The entire healing process will take from 4-6 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. Your new eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very natural looking immediately after the procedure. The color of the pigment will appear much darker the next day.

Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after recovery period (peeling), brows might appear lighter than original. This might give you the impression that color is fading too quickly. Often even with proper care, clients may lose original hairstrokes which make brows look uneven. It is absolutely normal. That’s is the reason why most customers need a touchup after 6 weeks.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look likely flake because of dry skin. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.

Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun.  Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. When using foundation, be aware when applying to avoid your healed eyebrows. If foundation covers healed brows, your eyebrows will appear lighter.

You can now enjoy your beautiful new eyebrows.

You'll love your fresh look!
